Thirty-three percent lighter – clocking in at 189 grams and nineteen percent slimmer, a fact that is obvious from its svelte design – with several changes like the removal of the infrared port and the relocation of speakers and slots to trim it down. Don't be fooled into thinking those are the only changes with this baby. Under the hood, the PSP New Slim is now packing twice the RAM of its older brother, has a better Wi-Fi connection, and faster loading times are enabled by storing UMD data in the New Slim's temp memory. Couple all of that with increased energy efficiency and the old PSP's hi-capacity batter and you've got a powerhouse that will play games better and faster. Definitely a good buy for the Sony fan boy – the larger games library doesn't hurt, too.
