The DS is Nintendo's flagship portable system and the DS Lite is its improved version. Sporting a slimmer design, it clocks in at less than two-thirds the size of the original and is twenty percent lighter to boot. It has all the requisite bells and whistles of the original with a more refined touch: a stylus with an appropriate slot, a tougher touch screen, re-located microphones and LED, and Wi-Fi connectivity. A whole lot cheaper than its major competition, the PSP, it also manages to have a very wide game library, as expected of a Nintendo product; high quality and inexpensive titles like Brain Age and Mario Party are definite staples. Please take note though, if you have the original DS, just hold onto it. The Lite is pretty much just a streamlining of the original – better cosmetic design, brighter screens, better durability and a nice trimmer figure. Yeah, I know, some people may think that merits enough for a buy, but then it's still the same processor and has pretty much all the same salient features of the original DS so you're dropping all that money essentially for a second DS. Though, if you are buying a second DS or a first one for that matter, just get this instead.
